I've always been skinny and never had a problem with my weight. Actually, the only time I can ever remember having to watch what I ate was 1 time in college, when I started the pill, and even then I only had to diet for a couple of weeks. When I got pregnant with Jenna and Ashley, I weighed 110lbs. After I had them (and a few months passed) I weighed 117. Fast forward 8 years, and I'm at the heaviest I gave ever been. 140. It pains me to even type it. I know that's not much, and I'm not writing this so people can tell me thats nothing, because it is to me. I want to be healthy, I want to FIT into my clothes, and being able to fit into a size 10 is not unreasonable to me, after wearing a size 6 all my life.
I had my mierana (spelling) taken out in June.. Since then, my weight has been a steady rise. Add along w the fact that I don't exercise, I quit smoking, and I love chips and wine. Oh, and in not particularly fond of water, Give me a Diet Coke instead.
So, I'm going to use this as my weight loss journey too. I want to loose 10 lbs by Christmas and then 10 by valentines day. 20 pounds in all.
On Monday, I walked 1 mile.
Wednesday, 1.5 miles
Thursday, 2.5 miles
I hope to get in Friday, Saturday, and possibly Sunday.
See, progress.
I know I need to lower my carb intake, and eat more protein. I honestly don't eat that much, but I do love wine.. And I'm not giving it up! I signed up for myfitness pal to keep up with what I eat, and distance free to keep up with my miles. (apps)
I can do this!!!! I can do this!!!! I can do this!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
Today is my Daddy's birthday, and yes... I still call him Daddy. Those who "know" me, know that I am a complete Daddy's girl, always have been, and always will be. I'm very lucky to have many special men in my life, but my Daddy will always be #1.
Some of my favorite memories are with my dad. Fishing, Golfing, his old white Ford Pickup truck with holes in the floor board, his Letterman Jacket, the Barbie Dreamboat he got me for Christmas one year, him combing my hair after a bath and discovering there was conditioner still in it, hanging out and watching football, our talks on the back porch, him holding the girls for the first time, I could go on and on. But, my most favorite memory, is him taking me on a day of shopping. I must have been around 10, when girls are beginning to get into that "awkward" stage (maybe a little older) and him and I went on a shopping adventure. We lived in West Helena at the time, and there are NO places to go clothes shopping in Helena (unless you count WalMart, which I am not knocking!) But, we found a little boutique called the Shoe Rack, and went inside and he let me pick out whatever I wanted. I think I got a couple pairs of stretch pants and some shirts to go with it (completely 80's look) and I remember feeling so special that day, and loving getting to spend time with just "us"!
My daddy has always been there for me, with whatever problem I have, or talk I need. He can tell me I'm being dumb, or hard headed (wonder where I get THAT from!) or that I need to get my Shit together. He can also make me smile bigger than life, just by a simple Good Morning text message, which I get often! He has walked me down the isle, held my hand when things were really bad, and never questioned me when I told him I was leaving, but instead helped me pack. He has been one solid force in my life, he has never left. I'm so thankful that he is my daddy.
Happy Birthday Daddy! I will love you always, and I will always be your little girl!

October 16, 2012 :: JOB WANTED
I am getting SO fed up with looking for a job. Fed UP! I can't find anything, and when I do... I interview, and then they choose someone else! Really.... can I please just find something, because I am bored. to death. I only need something to do while the girls are in school, and you would think that after looking for months, I would find something. I feel like a big, fat, loser. Thank goodness Brent is being patient. I really, really, really am trying. EVERYDAY I look, I fill out applications, I look some more. Really... is anyone/everyone else having this problem?? I reallllly need to find something. SOON!!

Menu Planning
I would be lost without Menu Planning! Every week, I sit down with 2 sheets of paper, and make our Menu for the Week, and then the grocery list. Usually, I look at the Circulars to see what is on sale, but I don't really "plan" around the sales so to speak!
Here are some of the things we do:
*We don't usually plan for the weekends either, because we are usually so busy, or the girls aren't here so Brent and I fend for ourselves.
* I love my crockpot, so i usually do that twice a week.
* I use Venison ALOT instead of ground beef.
* We have an egg allergy in our home, so I can't use eggs.
* I usually make enough, so Brent can take to work the next day for lunch.
* We LOVE casseroles, so I make those a bunch!
Here is our menu for this week:
Monday - Stew (crockpot), Crusty Bread
Tuesday - Chicken, Broccoli and Cheesy Rice Casserole, Green Beans
Wednesday - Lasagna, Garlic Bread
Thursday - Chicken Enchilada's, Re fried Beans
* I buy a Whole Chicken, to use for at least 2 meals, and cook the chicken in my crockpot Rotisserie style. That way, when I need shredded chicken for a recipe, I have it on hand.
Here is a blog I did on how I cook it :: Chicken
Does anyone else Menu Plan? Have any tips you want to share? Care to share your Menu with us?

Haunted
This weekend went by entirely too fast! Friday, I met Brent at work (which was nice, because I got to see my
On Saturday, some friends of ours came up and we went to Haunted Houses.
Why do I do that to myself every year? I suffered from a migraine ALL day yesterday because of the strobe lights. Lesson learned. It was fun, and we got to have some Shane and Jessie time! :) We really enjoyed it, as well as the Waffle House dinner afterwards! Yeee Hawww! 3 Haunted houses/trails down! The one's we went to were :
House of Horrors (2 haunted houses!)
Last year, we waited for over 2 hours in line for these. This year, we picked an awesome weekend, because we didn't have to stand in line at all! These are definitely worth the money, and it benefits Youth Villages! They put so much detail into these 2 haunted houses, it's amazingly realistic! I think the Insane Asylum is the scariest! The 3D affect of Tormented, is incredible!
I would really like to take the girls to the Corn Maze, when it's not haunted. Although it really wasn't scary (unless someone grabs your leg... ugh) but it took a pretty good bit to walk through. Also, there lots of hooligans there, with FILTHY mouths, and I really wouldn't want to yell at someone, in front of my children!! So, we may do a DAY trip, or a weekday night trip.
Sunday, I spent most of the day in bed while Brent cleaned out and organized our garage! Finally, yesterday afternoon I started feeling better, so I went and got the girls while Brent did the grocery shopping (thank you honey!) and then we watched The Living Dead outside (Uverse rocks) and had a small fire in the fire pit, while Brent grilled! Awesome Sunday night for sure! Thank goodness my Migraine went away! I hate those things.
We have a super busy week ahead. The girls have a Game Night at their school tomorrow night, and then we are going camping on Friday. Should be a nice weekend, and I can't wait to go. This is the last chance we are gonna have before it gets cold! Sunday, we are going to come home and carve pumpkins!
